After a busy year of visits abroad looking after clients LP12s, Peter made his last three trips of the year, one to Hong Kong and two to the United States before settling back into work at home in the UK visiting customers to set up LP12 turntables and installing and upgrading systems.

An interesting aspect of the latest US visit was that Peter was in New York on the day of the Presidential election! Fortunately he didn’t get a vote but he did find it fascinating to see how the Americans go about their election day proceedings. One would imagine that the clients were looking forward much more to getting their turntables upgraded than watching Donald and Hilary…

Having said that, Peter was also upgrading Linn Klimax DS & DSM players with the latest Katalyst boards in both Hong Kong and the States and yet again the customers were astounded at the performance increase offered by this upgrade. The Katalyst has possibly been one of the most significant upgrades that Linn have offered for a long time.

On his return Peter had the pleasure of completing the upgrade of a Naim system, which included those classic Naim speakers, the DBLs. Now being driven by three NAP500 power amplifiers this is a superb sounding and musically involving system. A photo of this amazing system is shown below with the owner’s permission.
