Naim recently announced that they are launching a new range of network players – the ND 555, NDX 2 and ND5 XS 2.

These latest network players have been engineered on the basis of a completely new streaming system. Three years in the making, this innovative, Naim-designed digital technology surpasses anything they’ve done before. Combining state-of-the-art DSP with a rich, analogue soul, Naim network players deliver engaging, immersive sound quality to get the very best out of your music. At the heart of the new range is Naim’s first ever 500 Series network player, the ND 555. The ND 555 also marks the first 500 Series launch since the CD555 twelve years ago.

When it came to their reference player, ND 555, Naim engineers called on audio technology they’ve only used in their flagship Statement range, as well as several new innovations. For example, they installed a series of 13 discrete regulators in ND 555 – similar to Statement, which supply ultra-clean voltage to delicate audio stages. It’s this mix of high-end, audiophile technology and the playability of their streaming system that gives their new network players a staggering musical output.

To celebrate this launch, Naim are running a series of roadshows, which will feature demonstrations of the ND 555 against the older NDS network player, in order that customers can appreciate the advances that Naim has made in streaming technology.

Cymbiosis are pleased to announce that the roadshow will be visiting us on Thursday 30^th August. Mark Raggett and Jon Greig from Naim will be conducting the demonstrations during two separate sessions. The first one will be at 3.00pm with the second demonstration at 6.30pm. We will be using our Naim 552/300 system into Kudos Titan 808 loudspeakers. We hope you will be able to join us at one of these sessions to experience the new ND 555.

We can’t promise at this stage, but the guys have said that they may also have an NDX 2 available for us to have a listen to as well. We’re keeping our fingers crossed!
